A Structural Assessment is an unbiased evaluation of either a portion of a structure or an entire structure. It may be undertaken to verify that a structure has adequate support of permanent and temporary “gravity” loads and that it has the resistance to lateral loads required by the Building Code. It may be commissioned to identify structural deficiencies. Whether for lender due diligence, regulatory compliance, or equity reasons, ASDF provides clear assessments, and actionable solutions.
General Structural Assessments
Seismic Risk Assessments (SRA) / Determination of Probable Max. Loss (PML)
In moderate to high risk seismic regions, a Seismic Risk Assessment (SRA) is a key step in the risk management of single buildings, as well as of whole portfolios of buildings. ASDF follows The Standard Guide, ASTM E2026, and The Standard Practice for Seismic Risk Assessment of Buildings, ASTM E2557. Adherence to these industry standards ensures our conclusions stand up over time to the scrutiny of stakeholders. Years of experience allow us to satisfy your unique requirements.
A client may request a structural forensic assessment to determine the cause and extent of existing or potential structural vulnerabilities or failures.
